What is Muay Thai or Thai Boxing?
Muay Thai translated is Thai Boxing and is the national sport of Thailand, a primarily Buddhist country. Buddhism and Muay Thai are intimately related to one another. Muay Thai was developed several hundreds of years ago as a form of close quarter combat that utilizes the entire body as weapons for self-defense. Muay Thai is referred to as “The Art of Eight Limbs”, where the practitioner uses the strongest eight points on the body to mimic the weapons of war for self defense or sport.
